Christiane F. ainda choca em reestreia após 40 anos – POA SHOW

“Christiane F., 13 anos, Drogada e Prostituída”, o , completa 40 anos de lançamento do Brasil, reestreia nos cinemas e traz de volta a saga de uma garota que chocou o mundo no final dos anos 1970. Mesmo décadas depois, continua chocando porque, ainda que seja o retrato de uma época, segue atual ao revelar as angústias, perigos e a solidão de um período particularmente revolucionário, mas também delicado e frágil da vida: a adolescência.

Antes do filme, vamos ao livro que o inspirou. “Christiane F., 13 anos, Drogada e Prostituída” (Christiane F. – Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo) é o que se pode chamar de um marco. Com realismo e um olhar cru sobre a juventude da Berlim dos anos 1970, o livro, lançado em 1978, foi um soco no estômago de uma sociedade que fazia vista grossa para as questões não só sociais, econômicas, mas emocionais e até existenciais de uma geração que cresceu em um mundo em desencanto, sob a divisão de uma Guerra Fria que não separava somente a Berlim Ocidental da Berlim Oriental, mas também via o sonho da família feliz ruir em uma sociedade de consumo que não dava respostas para os anseios e inseguranças dos jovens que nasciam e cresciam neste mundo pós-moderno.

Tal desencanto se sentia em cada página do livro escrito pelos jornalistas Kai Hermann e Horst Rieck a partir dos depoimentos da garota Christiane Vera Felscherinow, que conheceram quando ela tinha 16 anos e foi testemunha de um processo no tribunal de Berlim. Isso já algum tempo depois da garota ter sido presa por consumo e tráfico de substâncias ilícitas e ter sido mandada pela mãe para viver no interior com a avó e uma tia. O que era para ser uma grande reportagem para a revista Stern se tornou livro. E o que era para ser um livro (quase) comum se tornou um best seller que vendeu milhões de exemplares no mundo todo.

A história de Christiane é extrema, mas seus sonhos, sua curiosidade, sua necessidade de pertencer, ser amada, seus problemas para se relacionar e se comunicar com a família, seus medos, seu sentimento de abandono são universais e calaram fundo nos corações e mentes de adultos e de diversas gerações de adolescentes que vieram desde então.

Na trama do filme, e no período retratado no livro, ela é uma menina de 13 anos que depois que seus pais se separam e o pai sai de casa, vê-se morando com a mãe e seu novo marido. Sua irmã mais nova foi morar com o pai e Christiane ganha pouca atenção de uma mãe que, apesar de aparentemente atenciosa, passa mais tempo fora trabalhando e, quando está em casa, dedica muita mais atenção ao marido que à filha.

Christiane está com os hormônios e a curiosidade à flor da pele. Ela quer ser amada, notada, quer se divertir, pertencer a um grupo, frequentar a casa noturna mais badalada da Europa nos anos 1970, a lendária Sound, quer experimentar. Nesta jornada tão precoce pela noite berlinense, ela se apaixona pelo também jovem Detlef, que se torna seu namorado e que, dependente de heroína, acaba introduzindo, ao lado dos amigos, Christiane nesta jornada sem volta. Ele se prostitui na estação de trem e metrô Bahnhof Zoo (daí o título em alemão) para sustentar o vício, mora com amigos também dependentes e jura que um dia vai deixar a heróina. Em vez disso, ela quer cada vez mais experimentar e sentir o que ele sente e também acaba se tornando mais um dos jovens da Bahnhof Zoo, torna-se dependente de heroína e passa a se prostituir.

Na esteira desse sucesso do livro, era natural que um filme viesse. E em 1981 o livro virou filme estrelado pela estreante Natja Brunckhorst (que tinha 15 anos na época) e se tornou um cult.

Ao ser transposta para o cinema por Uli Edel, a história da menina de 13 anos que amadurece e endurece muito antes de ter maturidade e discernimento manteve a melancolia das páginas e ganhou a dimensão das cores, das esquinas concretas e niilistas da Berlim também abandonada da década. Para melhorar, o longa ainda contou com a trilha sonora e a presença de David Bowie para embalar as desilusões de Christiane. Foi num show de Bowie, que ela amava, que a garota experimentou heroína pela primeira vez.

A direção crua e corajosa de Uli Edel, que retrata sem pudor cenas dos jovens usando e injetando heroína com um realismo que choca ainda hoje, fez do filme um clássico instantâneo. Na época de seu lançamento, não só a Alemanha como as grandes cidades do mundo enfrentavam uma grande invasão das drogas sintéticas e a heroína (um opiáceo) também se tornava uma questão de saúde pública. A questão persiste até hoje e os números de jovens e adultos que ou se tornam dependentes ou morrem por conta do abuso de substâncias ainda é um problema de saúde pública mais atual do que nunca.

Uli Edel, que também é lembrado pelos irregulares “Noites Violentas no Brooklyn” e “Corpo e Evidência”, fez com “Chritiane F.” seu melhor filme, duro, cruel, mas contundente e visceral. Por tudo isso, “Christiane F” volta aos cinemas e à pauta em cópia remasterizada, impecável, pronto para ser descoberto pelas novas gerações.
