A Prefeitura do Rio concluiu, no início da noite desta sexta-feira (30/12), as obras de drenagem da Avenida Borges de Medeiros, na Lagoa, Zona Sul, com o trânsito sendo liberado na manhã deste sábado (31/12), pela CET-Rio. Executado pela Secretaria de Infraestrutura, o serviço faz parte das ações estratégicas do Plano Verão, pacote de ações preventivas que tem como objetivo minimizar os impactos das chuvas na cidade e engajar o carioca na prevenção de risco. As obras de drenagem foram realizadas nos dois sentidos (Túnel Rebouças e Gávea), na altura do Parque dos Patins. O local era considerado pelo Centro de Operações Rio um dos pontos críticos de alagamento da cidade em dias chuvosos. As obras custaram cerca de R$ 3 milhões.
– Mais uma obra entregue. A Borges de Medeiros, na altura do Parque dos Patins, era considerada um ponto crítico de alagamento em dias de chuvas fortes e agora recebeu novas galerias de drenagem – contou a secretaria de Infraestrutura, Jessick Trairi.
Elaborado pela Secretaria Infraestrutura, em conjunto com a fundação Rio-Águas, o projeto das obras de drenagem da Avenida Borges de Medeiros previa a implantação de novas galerias pluviais em uma área de 8,6 mil m². As intervenções foram realizadas ao longo de 350 metros, em ambos os sentidos da via, na alça de retorno da pista e na área do estacionamento próximo ao Parque dos Patins. A expectativa é que a nova rede de drenagem garanta o escoamento ideal da água da chuva e o trecho não sofra alagamentos, como já houve em anos anteriores.

De olho no verão, a Secretaria de Infraestrutura concluiu no mês de novembro outra importante obra de drenagem na cidade, na Estrada da Pedra, em Guaratiba, na Zona Oeste. Para acabar com os constantes episódios de alagamento na região, foi executada a drenagem de uma área de 4,1 mil metros quadrados. Além disso, as equipes da Infraestrutura fizeram a revitalização do pavimento, das calçadas e dos meios-fios da estrada. As obras custaram R$ 2,1 milhões.
Além da Avenida Borges de Medeiros e da Estrada da Pedra, a Rua Alexandre Calaza, em Vila Isabel, na Zona Norte, também está tendo o seu sistema de drenagem recuperado. As intervenções ocorrem em uma área de 6,1 mil metros quadrados. A obra deve ser concluída nos próximos meses.
