Piracicaba, SP, 15 (AFI) – O XV de Piracicaba oficializou nesta quinta-feira, mais duas contratações para o Campeonato Paulista da Série A2 de 2023. Na Sala Bauma de Imprensa do Estádio Municipal Barão da Serra Negra, o atacante Gleyson e do volante Alex Nagib foram apresentados, como novos jogadores do Nhô Quim.
Em comum, além da idade (26 anos), ambos possuem o fato de terem vindo de equipes do futebol paulista e nascido no estado. Gleyson é natural de Americana, começou sua carreira no São Caetano e em São Paulo jogou ainda por Comercial, Ferroviária, Mirassol e Água Santa.
“Tenho familiares que são torcedores do XV, então é um prazer enorme vestir essa camisa, que sei da grandeza, e espero retribuir com meu trabalho. O projeto é o acesso. Eles (diretoria e departamento de futebol profissional) prezam muito por isso, e nós (jogadores e comissão técnica) também”, disse o atacante.

O atleta espera uma Série A2 bastante competitiva.
“Eu disputei a Série A1 nos últimos anos e não vejo diferença, tanto em qualidade técnica quanto em estrutura. Porém, mesmo o campeonato sendo muito difícil, tenho certeza que faremos uma grande campanha”, analisou Gleyson, um dos quatro contratados para o setor ofensivo (os outros foram Jhonatan Marino, Lucas Xavier e Mateus Anderson), que conta ainda com remanescentes desta temporada.
Entre os que permaneceram em Piracicaba estão Artur e Maikon Aquino, que tiveram seus contratos renovados, e os garotos das categorias de formação, caso, por exemplo, de Diego Lanzarini.
“Estamos fazendo uma grande pré-temporada, entendendo o que o Cléber (Gaúcho, técnico) e toda a comissão têm pedido. Então, a expectativa é a melhor possível em darmos alegria novamente à torcida, que recentemente comemorou a Copa Paulista”, lembrou Gleyson
VOLANTE NAGIB
Nascido em Ilhabela, Alex Nagib teve quatro passagens pelo Santo André e atuou também por Grêmio Mauaense, Athletico/PR, Pouso Alegre, Joinville e Novo Hamburgo.
“Já vim jogar contra o XV, e tenho amigos que jogaram aqui e falaram muito bem do clube. Venho com muita vontade de dar o meu melhor e conquistar o objetivo, que, neste momento, é o acesso para a Série A1, assim como foi atingido o objetivo do título da Copa Paulista”, comentou o volante.
O jogador externou ainda sobre como se deu o acerto com o Alvinegro Piracicabano e o que espera para a próxima temporada.
“A expectativa é muito grande. Quando me foi feita a proposta de vir para cá, eu aceitei na hora, porque sei da grandeza do clube. A minha intenção, e do grupo todo, é subir. Esse é o propósito de todos. O time está vindo muito bem”, falou.
