Suzano vende 3,1 milhões de toneladas de celulose e papéis no terceiro trimestre – Notícia de Limeira – JORNAL DE LIMEIRA

 Resultado alcançado entre julho e setembro de 2022 representa novo recorde para o período

 A Suzano, referência global na fabricação de bioprodutos desenvolvidos a partir do cultivo de eucalipto, comercializou 3,1 milhões de toneladas de celulose e diferentes tipos de papéis durante o terceiro trimestre de 2022. O volume é 4% superior ao mesmo período do ano passado e representa um novo recorde da companhia para terceiros trimestres. Os dados constam no balanço trimestral da companhia, a maior fabricante de celulose de eucalipto do mundo e uma das maiores produtoras de papéis da América Latina.

 Ao longo do período, a Suzano vendeu 2,8 milhões de toneladas de celulose e 331 mil toneladas de papéis. A receita líquida, obtida a partir da comercialização de celulose e papéis para todo o Brasil e para mais de 100 países, totalizou R$ 14,2 bilhões no trimestre, um novo recorde histórico considerando todos os trimestres do ano.

 O forte resultado trimestral reflete principalmente a evolução de preços globais da celulose, o maior volume de vendas e o câmbio favorável às exportações. Essa combinação contribuiu para que a Suzano registrasse geração de caixa operacional de R$ 7,2 bilhões e EBITDA ajustado de R$ 8,6 bilhões, novos recordes históricos para a companhia.

 “Os números do trimestre refletem o ambiente externo favorável, o aumento do volume de vendas, a alta dos preços e nossos fortes indicadores operacionais”, afirma o presidente da Suzano, Walter Schalka. “Diante do patamar histórico de geração de caixa, pudemos avançar em nossa agenda estratégica e nas discussões de alocação de capital”, complementa o executivo.

 A Suzano, empresa que opera 11 fábricas no Brasil, incluindo a(s) unidade(s) de Jacareí (SP), Limeira (SP), Rio Verde (SP) e Suzano (SP), planeja investir R$ 16,1 bilhões em 2022, dos quais R$ 11,2 bilhões foram desembolsados entre janeiro e setembro. O ritmo de investimento é condizente com a disciplina financeira da empresa, que viu sua alavancagem em dólar cair de 2,3 vezes a relação entre dívida líquida e EBITDA ajustado no segundo trimestre para 2,1 vezes no terceiro trimestre.

 A companhia também anuncia nesta semana a aquisição do negócio de Tissue no Brasil da Kimberly-Clark e o lançamento de um terceiro programa de recompra de ações.

 Esses anúncios se somam a diversas outras iniciativas realizadas desde o início do ano, incluindo a distribuição de R$ 1,8 bilhão em dividendos aos acionistas, o investimento de R$ 2 bilhões na compra de ativos florestais, o desembolso de R$ 1,9 bilhão em programas de recompra de ações, a intensificação de iniciativas ambientais e sociais para o cumprimento dos Compromissos para renovar a vida, a criação da Suzano Ventures e a construção de uma fábrica de fios têxteis na Finlândia em parceria com a Spinnova.
