Neste sábado (18), comemora-se o Dia do Químico, profissional responsável pela qualidade de muitos produtos consumidos no dia a dia. Dentre as funções desse especialista, está a de garantir que a qualidade da água que chega às torneiras da população esteja dentro dos padrões de potabilidade e que o esgoto gerado nas cidades, depois de tratado, fique dentro dos parâmetros solicitados pelos órgãos fiscalizadores.
A BRK, concessionária de água e esgoto de Limeira, aproveita a data para ressaltar a importância desse profissional na rotina do saneamento. Para a eficiência dos serviços prestados pela empresa no município, os profissionais de Química junto com outros especialistas realizam mais de 15 mil análises da qualidade da água por mês, considerando os monitoramentos na Estação de Tratamento de Água da cidade, no sistema de distribuição e na captação do rio Jaguari e do Ribeirão Pinhal. Já os testes de esgoto chegam a 7.300 análises mensais, considerando os monitoramentos nas três Estações de Tratamento de Esgoto da cidade e no corpo hídrico.
Os profissionais de Química podem desempenhar diversas atividades na área de saneamento, como operações de tratamento de água e efluentes, ensaios físico-químicos em laboratório e, até mesmo, no apoio ao sistema de compras de produtos. “A química influencia totalmente o tratamento de água e do esgoto através de diversos processos. Fico feliz por contribuir de forma positiva para o acesso da população à água tratada dentro dos parâmetros legais, melhorando a qualidade de vida das pessoas e minimizando os impactos ambientais”, afirma Ketty de Souza, com formação na área química e que atua como técnica de laboratório da BRK.
Vale destacar que a população pode acompanhar os resultados das análises mensais feitas pela própria concessionária e também por laboratórios terceirizados em relatórios disponibilizados para consulta no site www.brkambiental.com.br/limeira. A BRK também distribui anualmente em todos os imóveis do município um relatório anual de qualidade da água em que são divulgados os resultados das análises de potabilidade realizados sempre no ano anterior.
